Burn Pine Plantation European "Lite" Pheasant & Quail Hunt, October 14th - 16th, 2005
Here is Camille's description of the weekend hunt...What a great 3 day event I had. Friday was an all day quail hunt, where I got to see pointers working extremely hard!! How beautiful they pointed!!! Just beautiful!!Saturday they released 660 birds for all 11 of us and then the walk up on Sunday. What a GREAT time Holly and I had together. Yes, we did get questioned many times because they don't see too many women participating in an event like this, ESPECIALLY without their spouses.I met many incredible hunters...Some who have a trophy room or should I say trophy house with incredible stories of all their fascinating hunts from the illusive Bongo in the Cameroon where the guides were pigmies to the rhino that finally dropped at a mere 4 foot distance!!!The food was incredible including food and wine driven out to the fields. This event was called a European lite and all the guys came out in their fancy European tweeds and breeks and such for the tower shoot. Me, I did well in my Cabellas down home look and shot very well!! Clint and I are vacuum-packing all my pheasant and quail we brought home.My buddy Holly even shot the money bird (he's released from the tower with a pink ribbon hanging from his leg) and won a few bets so she came home with $220. I was so fortunate to have been invited on this hunt as Holly's husband could not make it and she wanted a companion and said "Hey, I know Camille would go with me" and yes I did!!!If you'd like to see the place go to www.burntpine.comThis was by far one of my most favorite weekends of my 42 years of life!! May we always appreciate each and every day we have on this earth, there is so much to see and experience...Bang bang, shoot 'em up!
