Argentina Wild Wings

Board members and several
friends together with their "Bird Boys" displaying the results of an afternoon
hunt in Argentina.
SCI Lowcountry Board members enjoyed an outstanding Dove Hunt in
Argentina.
Board Members, Todd Tyler, Britt Gilbert, Denton Lindsay and Larry Gilbert and
several friends just returned from an exceptional dove hunt in the Cordoba
Providence of Argentina.
This is the same identical hunt that was donated by Argentina
Wild Wings and purchased at our 2003 annual fundraiser.
In Argentina, doves are considered pests that annually destroy up to 40% of the
crops - that's why there's no bag limit or season for dove hunting there. The
birds fly all day long. Shooting 2-5 cases (1000-2500 rounds) of shells daily at
doves is the norm.
A typical day starts with a sumptuous breakfast before heading to the fields to
reduce the dove population. You'll shoot all morning until its time to enjoy a
great lunch. You can start shoot right after lunch or take a nap/break until you
decide to start shooting again. You'll shoot until you decide to quit (likely
before the doves do). Then it's head for the lodge and another great dinner.
Beer, water and sodas are always in the field.
The food, accommodations along with the volume of doves surpassed our
expectations. This was truly the best trip to Argentina that we have done.
