Low Country Chapter Member, Kenny Jarrett, owner of Jarrett Rifles bought the Bateleur Safaris South African Hunt at our 2004 Annual Fundraiser.  Kenny and his sons, Cain and Jay and Jay's wife, Julie, hunted with Bateleur Safaris in May of 2004.

Long-time Chapter Supporters, Buks and Elna Botha made sure that Kenny and his family had a great hunt and a wonderful stay in South Africa!  This is what Kenny had to say about their experience with Bateleur Safaris.

"It’s such a pleasant surprise when things turn out better than expected. Bateleur-Safaris provided that treat for us this summer. I bought the hunt at our banquet last year on good recommendations from Brad & Sally Rumph, as well as Mark & Holly Peterson. My purpose was to carry my sons on an introductory African hunt. I could not have picked a more perfect one at any cost! The animals were there as advertised, the food and accommodations were great and getting to know Buks & Elna was icing on the cake. They’re so much like us, they even eat grits."

"Regardless, of what we do from this point on, the memories of Jay, Julie (Jay’s wife), & Cain will be everlasting. The greatest memory belongs to me as I still can see their smiling faces of excitement. My children have grown up hearing me tell African tales so being there was a dream come true for them. I can truly say it was the best entry level African hunt you could find. It’s also a great place to carry your wife with camera or rifle. In the year 2004 it was the best buy I made. Thank you one more time Buks & Elna."
