Holly and I experienced a wonderful 21 day hunt in Namibia during April of 2004.We traveled over 4,000 kilometers within Namibia while hunting in the Central Plains, the Erongo Mountains and the Kalahari Desert.Namibia is a beautiful country. The scenery is spectacular, the cities are clean and safe, and the people welcome visiting hunters. We hunted with Dirk de Bod of Safaris Namibia and Nicky Nolte of Nick Nolte Hunting Safaris. Dirk and Nicky were great hosts and very skilled hunters. Their wives, Rina de Bod and Isabel Nolte, were the most gracious of hostesses. The camps and lodges were all first-class operations in beautiful settings. All the amenities of home were available in even the most remote areas of the Kalahari. The service provided by the attentive staff in each location was prompt and courteous. The food was uniformly excellent, and, at our request, featured a tremendous variety of game dishes. The hunting was spectacular! As you will see in the accompanying Photo Galleries, we saw a great variety of game and took a number of fine trophies. We will certainly plan to hunt in Namibia again in the future!
