Quebec Spring Bear Hunt

Chapter Members Mark & Holly Peterson, Jim McLain and Bill Youngblood hunted black bears with Auberge-Cartier Outfitters in May of 2002.  The hunt took place in a large Canadian Provincial Park that had not been hunted in many years.

All 7 hunters had opportunities to take bears during our week there.  Holly scored with the first bear, Bill Youngblood took the largest bear during the week.

Holly and Russ with two nice bears taken on the 1st day of our hunt. Holly used a .300 Jarrett, Russ was shooting a Matthews bow.

Holly's bear squared 6' and weighed around 300 pounds. Russ' bear was even larger.

Bill Youngblood's bear (right) was the largest taken by our group. Bill used a rifle, while Larry took his bear with a Matthews bow.
