In 2005, The Low Country Chapter donated $1,500.00 to the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources to help fund the "Take One Make One" program.  There is nothing more important than introducing young people to the outdoor sports and traditions that we all cherish.

Sgt. Lynwood Kearse, III is the Manager for the "Take One Make One" program.  He is active in the SCDNR Mobility Impaired Hunts and he works closely with the Low Country Chapter on our Annual Wheelchair Hunt.

Taking Charge of Tomorrow!  You can be a part of our heritage!

A South Carolina Youth/Young Adult Hunting, Fishing, & Shooting Sports Mentorship and Recruitment Program

In South Carolina, hunting and fishing are fundamental parts of our great outdoor heritage, a legacy that must be passed on from one generation to the next.

The TOMO program is specifically targeting youth & young adults who have not experienced a previous shooting or hunting activity. These youth will bePhoto of man and daughter in woods hunting paired with volunteer hunting club members and private land owners who sponsor and actively participate in a year-round hunting, fishing, and shooting sports mentorship program.

TOMO students will be rewarded with achievement awards as they reach the goals set for them in the program. Our Sponsors and Mentors will also receive Annual Incentive Awards for the individual or club in each game zone who has contributed the most effort in passing on our outdoor traditions to our youth and young adults.

For more information about the Take One Make One program and how you can join in the partnership, call Program Coordinator SCDNR Sgt. Lynwood Kearse III at 803-734-4011 or write him at PO Box 167, Columbia, SC 29202.
