Here is 10 year-old Zachary Elliott with his guide and a fabulous New Mexico trophy bull elk.  Amazingly, this huge bull is the first big-game animal that young Zachary has ever shot!

Zachary was hunting with Mick Chapel of New Mexico Professional Big Game Hunting, Inc. when he shot this trophy bull.  He dropped the bull in its' tracks at over 250 yards with 1 shot from his 7mm/08!

Note all the barbed wire caught in the bull's huge antlers.  We hope that Zachary will write a Hunt Report and tell us more about his experiences in New Mexico!

Zachary participated in an SCI Low Country Chapter Safari Wish Hunt several weeks before he went on his New Mexico Elk hunt.  Kenny and Jay Jarrett of Jarrett Rifles hosted Zachary and his father on Kenny's 10,000 acre Cowden Plantation for a deer and wild hog hunt.

Jay Jarrett performed a free trigger adjustment job on Zachary's rifle while he was at Cowden Plantation, and that may have helped Zachary make the great shot on his trophy bull elk!
